What have I been up to over the past few weeks?
While supervisors are working on the comments on my manuscript draft I have moved onto ironing out the next set of analyses, getting the next chapter ready for write up. The main analyses are already done, but I wanted to run some extra models, explore a couple of avenues. On top of that, since the main result is a pretty unexpected one, I also wanted to do some within-study replication, to ensure that the results are robust (they seem to be! yay!).
We also had our Postgraduate Symposium on the 26th of April and so I needed to prep a talk for that - giving a talk at the symposium is one of our PhD milestones.
I have also done a bunch of reading and explored pulling out predictions from MCMCglmm models - with little success unfortunately (there was something odd going on there…).
I also attended some meetings about PG student training needs - it is great to know that someone cares about the development of PGRs.
